As Microsoft states, the software has been undergone full-scale testing by more than 1000 employees on 10,000 devices before hitting to first Technical Preview release at Microsoft labs. The testing process has covered its usability, battery life, network connectivity, and many other metrics to make Windows 7 as high quality operating system.

Terry Myerson, CVP, Windows Phone Engineering says-

“I’m very excited to share with this blog community, that our Windows Phone engineering team has hit a very meaningful milestone; one that we’re calling technical preview. We are certainly not done yet – but the craftsmen (and women) of our team have signed off that our software is now ready for the hands-on everyday use of a broad set of consumers around the world – and we’re looking forward to their feedback in the coming weeks, so that we can finish the best Windows Phone release ever together.”

Besides, thousands of prototype phones are being readied for developers by Asus, LG and Samsung. With release of Windows Phone Developer Tools Beta, Microsoft is encouraging developers to build applications for next generation Windows Mobile operating system. So it’s time to get serious about building apps and games for Windows Phone 7 that consumers will be looking for starting this holiday season.
