It’s registry setting, that was introduced in Windows Vista Beta 2 and still works on RTM builds.

How To:

1. Run Registry Editor and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM

2. Create a DWORD value named AnimationsShiftKey and set it to 1.

3. Restart your PC to take effect and hold the Shift key during minimizing, maximizing & Flip 3D operation and see elegant slow motion view of window’s frames.
