Internet Explorer 10

The Internet Explorer 10 for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 is now available. For all objectives, this means IE10 has been released to web finally.

If you want to run Internet Explorer 10 on your PC, here’s what it takes:

  • Processor: 1.0 GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor.
  • Operating system: Windows 7 with Service Pack 1 (SP1) or higher and Windows Server 2008 R2 with Service Pack 1 (SP1) or higher.
  • Memory: 512 MB

Windows Vista users are unable to install Internet Explorer 10, and now it looks like Windows 7 RTM users won’t be able to either. Windows 7 users will need to have Service Pack 1 before they can install it, according to the Internet Explorer 10 System requirements.

Internet Explorer 10 also introduces a new feature called Flip Ahead that allows users to move through articles that span multiple pages as well as search results and other web pages with a “next page” or similar button. Additionally it also expands on Internet Explorer 9 functionality in regards to CSS3 support, hardware acceleration, and HTML5 support.

So far, the browser was only available for Windows 8 and a pre-release version for Windows 7. Now users can download and install it from the official website.
