Windows Phone 7

Today Microsoft’s the most incredible product development is finalized that Windows Phone 7 has been Released To Manufacturing (RTM). Windows Phone 7 RTM has been sent to Microsoft’s hardware and carrier partners so that they can integrate their own software and services solutions and ship new devices to customers later in the year.

Microsoft thanks to everyone and stated that the Windows Phone 7 RTM is consequence of the tremendous efforts of the entire team including partners, early adopters, and independent software developers providing feedback.

The testing phase of Windows Phone 7 was extreme. The company had nearly ten thousand devices running automated tests daily, over a half million hours of active self-hosting use, over three and a half million hours of stress test passes, and eight and a half million hours of fully automated test passes before hitting RTM milestone.

Terry Myerson said:
The final integration of Windows Phone 7 with our partners’ hardware, software, and networks is underway, the work of our internal engineering team is largely complete.

Microsoft is planning to ship Windows Phone 7 in October for those in Europe and November for those in the US.
