Windows Virtual PC, formally known as Microsoft Virtual PC is a virtualization program for Windows 7. To take the advancements of Hardware Assisted Virtualization, Windows Virtual PC requires processors with the Intel VT, AMD-V or VIA VT feature.  Furthermore, the processor should have the virtualization setting enabled.

If you want to know, does your processor support Hardware Assisted Virtualization, you can check it yourself. Microsoft has released a utility called “HAV Detection Tool”. It helps you check if the computer processor supports hardware virtualization. The tool also checks if this feature is enabled on the processor.
