Today Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Amabai Group has bought 50% stake of UK based company Codemasters, that is a reputed name of gaming world and leading developer and publisher of cricket games, racing games, performance games and military simulations.

According to sources, the deal of 50% stake has been sealed for an undisclosed sum and Reliance BIG Entertainment’s gaming division Zapak Digital Entertainment Ltd is expected to oversee and will manage the company’s operations alongside existing investor Balderton Capital. Zapak is the largest gaming company in India now. Codemasters has over $150 million in last fiscal. However, the financial details of the deals have not been out.

Rohit Sharma, CEO of Zapak.com says-

We are excited to partner with Codemasters and believe it’s very strong technology, development and distribution presence will complement our global gaming portfolio.

Additionally, Zapak’s global strength in mobile gaming will enhance Codemasters’ ability to fully leverage its attractive franchises such as its racing and cricket games.

Reliance ADAG is India’s largest private sector enterprise, with businesses in the energy and materials value chain and is leaded by Mr. Anil Dhirubhai Ambani.
